Emirates Stadium Being Readied for Arsenal Offside
By: Trent |Or so I would presume. The club have announced that the newly-opened ground will be set up with Wi-Fi goodness. Clearly, this is an attempt to woo the Arsenal Offside and its trusty laptop into spending more time at Ashburton Grove.
Still, I am holding out for at least a spot on the reserves.
Full Respect for CSKA Moscow
By: Trent |Arsene Wenger figures his team went into its Champions League match at CSKA Moscow a little over confident. That match, as we all know, ended 1-0 in the host’s favor. Tomorrow Arsenal gets a chance at revenge when this man and his mustache come to North London.
So the club’s confidence is now in […]
Single Point Goes to Moyes’ Head
By: Trent |Didn’t Everton boss David Moyes get the memo that we were all laughing when Tim Cahill was announced as a finalist for the Ballon d’Or? I’m pretty sure that was settled several weeks ago.
Nevertheless, in the wake of Everton’s surprise draw at Arsenal over the weekend, Moyes has declared that Cahill is as good […]
Cesc to Rest?
By: Trent |Cesc Fabregas is 19 years old. He has also already made well over 100 appearances for Arsenal. That’s a lotta hoofin’.
That’s also why Arsene Wenger wants to give the young Spaniard a two or three week rest sometime during the season.
A-Dub opines: “I am surprised he hasn’t been more […]
Buffon to Arsenal?
By: Trent |Every time I think of Gianluigi Buffon, I lament the fact that he has but one “o” in his surname. But that’s my problem, not his. Anyway, hanging out in Serie B may not be as much fun as Buffon expected. Buffon, relegated Juventus’ no. 1 and World Cup champion, is rumoured […]
Antifootball
By: Trent |Antifootball is sorta like antimatter, although with less muon antineutrinos and more David Moyes. In the wake of Arsenal’s home draw with Everton, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has not been shy about disparaging Everton’s tactics from Saturday. That is, get a quick goal, then sit on the ball for 80 minutes.
It’s not illegal. […]
Wenger In No Hurry for a New Contract
By: Trent |Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he has no plans to discuss a new contract with the club anytime soon. His curent contract expires in 2008, but he remains focused on building the new team at Ashburton Grove.
This is probably a no news is good news scenario. With the time left on the contract, […]
A-Dub: No Thanks on the Becks Rumour
By: Trent |Some irresponsible outlets (the nerve!) reported a rumour that David Beckham may be hopping back to the Prem in January since he’s having trouble cracking the Real Madrid XI. Arsenal gaffer Arsene Wenger, however, sticks to his guns and says that the club will not be shopping during the January transfer window–for Becks or […]
Arsenal and Everton Share the Points
By: Trent |Meh. Arsenal and Everton drew 1-1 at the Emirates Stadium today. Tim Cahill (who I jabbed earlier-karma, you know) scored at ten minutes for the visitors. Arsenal–which dominated the entire match in nearly every way possible–had to save a point through a terrific Robin van Persie free kick with only twenty minutes […]
Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace
By: Trent |For all of the fellas out there who are thinking of tying the knot sometime soon, here’s a great idea that any (read: very few) brides-to-be will be psyched about. Recently, Jamie Lazarus and Tamar Kosky jumped the broom at the Emirates Stadium in front of 350 guests. We were married on the […]
