Henry a Doubt for Spurs?!

By: Trent | Comments 3 Comments

One day soon, my friends, I’ll have good news to post in this space. Today may not be that day. Arsenal striker Thiery Henry may miss the Spurs game this weekend due to sciatic nerve issues. Tests will be performed on Friday to determine the Frenchman’s fitness.
Question: With Wednesday’s loss to Fulham, has […]

Alright, I Give: It’s Over

By: Trent | Comments No Comments

I had tried to stay away from the pessimistic no-title-chance chorus, but I’m officially warming up my pipes. After yesterday’s 1-2 loss at Craven Cottage, it would seem that a readjusting of goals for the seaon is in order.
Of course, Fulham had just previsouly beaten Arsenal in 1966, so it wasn’t like…aw, […]

Fulham 2-1 Arsenal

By: Trent | Comments 4 Comments

Well, then.
Arsenal were unable to overcome two Fulham goals in the first 18 minutes, courtesy of McBride and Radzinski. Van Persie answered with a brilliant free kick strike in the 35th, but Arsenal wnt down to ten men in the second half, and the string of bad results continues.
More later. If I’m able.

Okay, This is Getting Ridiculous

By: Trent | Comments 5 Comments

Even if there was a Footballer of the Year Named Thierry Who Plays in London and is Also French Award, I’m now starting to doubt whether Arsenal striker Thierry Henry would garner any votes at all.
This on the news that Henry has not even made the shortlist for FIFA player of the year. That […]

Evidently, the Dog Ate A-Dub’s Homework

By: Trent | Comments No Comments

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger thinks that the Emirates Stadium may be to blame for the Gunners’ slow start to the season. He does admit however that once the team get used to its new ground, things will turn around.
Hmm. It seems that even if you thought leaving Highbury was in fact hurting your […]

Drogba: I’m Better Than Henry

By: Trent | Comments 2 Comments

If you were to argue that Didier Drogba was having a better season that Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, I’d let it go. I mean, it’s at least reasonable.
But for the Ivorian to claim that he’s altogether better than Henry? A bit much, no?
Cam on, sun.

No Ballon d’Or for Henry

By: Trent | Comments No Comments

The Ballon d’Or has been awarded to Fabio Cannavaro, presumably on the strength of his World Cup play in Germany. I , of course, would have preferred Henry, but I also would have preferred Gialuigi Buffon over Canna.

A-Dub: It’s All Over

By: Trent | Comments 2 Comments

A Frenchman, when faced with the inevitable finality of it all, once said, “Tirez le rideau, la farce est jouĂ©e.”* Although that particular son of Gaul was Francois Rabelais, it seems that Arsenal gaffer Arsene Wenger is coming around to the same attitude about the Gunner’s title hopes this season.
A-Dub says he has no […]

Fulltime: Bolton 3-1 Arsenal

By: Trent | Comments 4 Comments

Well then. Anelka got a double (of course) and Arsenal kept possession and hit the post thrice (of course). And what is it with the damn Reebok Stadium? Anyway, I have thus far held out on the Arsenal Can’t Win the Title Now statement, but I will admit it’s not looking good.
As […]

Halftime: Bolton 2-1 Arsenal

By: Trent | Comments No Comments

Bolton head into halftime with a 2-1 lead over their guests. Walcott has caused some trouble for Bolton on the wing, but, clearly enough, Bolton are playing well on the whole.
The first half saw two injury-time goals, one incredible strike from Anelka, with a quick response from Gilberto.
