Arsenal 2-0 Bolton
By: Trent | October 20th, 2007
A nice, professional win for the Gunners today as Bolton are pushed to the bottom of the table. Arsenal maintains its lead at the top over Manchester United.
Kolo Toure’s 67th minute goal was enough for the home side, but the rumoured-dead Tomas Rosicky added an insurance score 9 minutes from time.
Arsene Wenger specifically gave props to Theo Walcott for helping to turn the tide in favor of Arsenal.
“He has found the injection of pace he had before and he uses his body better. When you see what he brings when he came on, you are very excited. I see him playing through the middle eventually, but I played [Alexander] Hleb there today because there was so little space. Certainly Theo has benefited mentally rather than footballistically, but maturity-wise it helped him.”
I think you’ll agree, it’s otherwise difficult to work “footballistically” into a conversation.
