Arsenal 2-1 Lazio: Dudu Is a Man of Impeccable Timing
By: Trent | August 2nd, 2007
Freshly freed to work in the United Kingdom, Eduardo da Silva scored the winner in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Lazio in the preseason Amsterdam Tournament. You can read a liveblog of the match here.
Nick Bendtner opened the scoring in the 18th minute after corralling a rebound from a Cesc Fabregas miss. Lazio pulled even a few minutes from half time courtesy of the Macedonian madman, Goran Pandev.
But Dudu, who has looked dangerous the times he has played this preseason, knocked home the winner in the 50th minute with his noggin. Arsenal supporters have got to be pleased so far with Dudu’s (very abbreviated) preseason form.
Arsenal’s lineup is after the jump.

Walcott (Eboue 64′), Fabregas (Flamini 46′), Song (Toure 72′), Clichy (Rosicky 46′)
Eduardo, Bendnter (Van Persie 64′)

Song was really great today, I was very impressed with him. I’d certainly say he had the most impressive display of the team as e dictated much of the match.

Anyone seems to be playing anywhere in this squad!!!!!!!. Toure playing in the middle, clichy..etc Interesting…..though i hope it wont affect their performance when needed in their respective positions.

Dudu looks like a very good candidate for a position we are still seriously lacking in: a leftwinger. I agree with arseblogger.com and UK journalist Amy Lawrence (she writes a lot about Arsenal) who say Wenger should put Dudu in that position (there are no good candidates to buy right now for that role) and buy another striker.
