I’ve had enough of Liverpool

By: travis | April 8th, 2008

I’m tired of posts that contain the phrase “this game will determine the outcome of the season.” Well, now it actually means something. This is by far, a game that represents Arsenal’s best shot at silverware this season. And it’s pretty simple. Failing to score today at Anfield means they’re done. Talk about stating the obvious. Saying that it’s going to be a tough match would be quite the understatement. However, the success at San Siro should definitely give the boys some confidence.

Random team news: Robin Van Persie is in fact be fit for the match while Tomas Rosicky is officially out for the season. No surprise. Wenger is still insisting that his side can win the double this season. I don’t feel his enthusiasm. He goes on to mention that he will be attacking Liverpool. Duh. I would hope so. Rafa Benitez “piles the pressure on Arsenal” by saying the only trophy still within their reach is the Champions League. At least we’re only six points off the top.

In other fun, non-Liverpool related news, we’ve been linked with French striker Hatem Ben Arfa. I don’t think it’ll happen.

Prediction:
Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal
Victory!

I don’t think this match will make or break the season for Arsenal, that’ll be when you face Man U.
