Citeh and Sven Come a-Callin’: Your Predictions

By: Trent | August 24th, 2007

mufc.jpgThe best club in all of Manchester visits Ashburton Grove this weekend, as Citeh try to keep their perfect record rolling. New coach, and ex-Three Lions gaffer, Sven-Goran “Son of Erik” Eriksson has these light-blue Manc riding high at the top of the table.

Eriksson himself thinks his charges have been flying under the league’s radar thus far: “I think for the first two games, a lot of people didn’t know about some of our players: Martin Petrov maybe, Elano and Geovanni. But we will not have that advantage any more.”

I thought Citeh would be improved this year, thanks in no small part to Eriksson. That’s why I chose Stephen Ireland in my fantasy league. (Alright, alright, quit laughing. Those nine points he has given me might be keeping me out of last place.)

Arsenal are on a five-match unbeaten streak against Man Citeh, and this will be the Gunners’ first home match of the season. But something tells me a draw is in the wind. Let’s say 2-2 (RvP, Eduardo).

What say you?

‘The best club in all of Manchester’. Not saying much, but love it.

As for the match, you’re probably right on the draw, but I hope it’s not as boring as the Manc derby last week.

I’ll say 3-2, Arsenal, just for the hell of it and also because Man City, despite playing Man Poo last week, have yet to see an offense as dynamic as the Gunners.

lol, well put, evo. I was looking at my notes, and had the last 10 matches listed backwards. Fairly ridiculous, but there you are.

    So to clarify:

    Yes, re: Fulham.

Yes, re: Man City winning in Aug. ‘06. And to put it more correctly…Arsenal are on a 6 of 7 unbeaten streak.

Thanks for the correction! And I’ll try to cut down on the “dope”.
