I think this guy is absolutely insane! Where did you pull those stats? Out your Arsenal?!! The possesion was actually 48-52. Arsenal had 14 efforts in total, and they were fairly lame! You played Gallas, Traore, Eduardo, Denilson, Fabregas, Diaby, Hleb, Gilberto, Bendtner, Walcott, Adebayor - how many of them are in your reserves team?
You Gunners are as bitter as your manager, what can one expect?!
Also, in an article with 'Fluke' in the title you fail to mention that Spurs absolutely dominated possession, attempts and quality at The Emirate and the gunners were extremely fortunate to even be in contention for the next leg.

BTW, I can't agree that Bendtner is only to blame. I think they both were. Ade is also very arrogant and rather in love with himself. Also, the video doesn't show a headbutt. Maybe the camera didn't catch it.

Here are the stats to the game, and it's why Arsene said what he did:

Arsenal had 64% possession
Arsenal made nearly 500 successful passes
Spurs made 222
Arsenal had 18 shots on goal
Spurs had 12

We had zero defense. And the squad AW put out was neither a full strenth one nor a CC squad, it was a mixture of both (8 changes from the Fulham game). Whenever he's done that, it hasn't worked. There's no cohesion.

Spurs were simply more clinical, nearly every shot they made went in the net. Whereas ours didn't. They were by far the better team, yes, but they can't get away with what they did on Tuesday v. a solid defense. I'd like to see them try that v. Vidic, Ferdinand and Anderson at ManU this weekend. That'll be funny.

Oh, and they're not going to win the CC. That trophy will stay with Chelsea for another year.

Yeah, it hurts a bit, but not as much as the draw v. Birmingham or the loss to Boro. Spurs celebrated like they won the CL. Did you see that 2 days after the game they rushed out with a commemorative dvd of the game, AND a mug to go along with it? (the mug says "5-1").

They're pathetic. The REAL stat to remember is 22-1. That "1" is the amount of games they've beaten us in the last 9 years.

Oh, and remember this too: Arsene put out a far stronger team against poor little BURNLEY in our FA cup game than he did against the TeenyTots. That tells you what he thinks about this competition. He was forced to put out some first teamers because we had few reserves to draw on: Song's at the ANC, Diarra's gone, Senderous and Djourou were injured, Gibbs, Randall, Lansbury had played v. Birmingham the previous night. Denilson got injured 20 mins. into the game so he had to put Cesc on the pitch far sooner than he expected. Only 3 first teamers started.

We've got nothing to be embarrased about. It's THEY who should be embarrassed for thinking that they're now world beaters, and that this 1 little game in the mickey mouse cup obliterates Arsene's total domination over them throughout his fabulous reign.
