i still say whatever. let’s see if the result is the same if it’s man u- arse in champions league semis or final. or even in the league. we should have played harder, we didn’t but don’t bet on it happening again.

Point taken Sheps. It doesn’t matter how we’re in front the simplicity of it is that we are. If we were to lose Adebayor I think up front we would be a little strained. But, I have confidence in the display that I’ve seen where Flamini, Gallas, and even Eduardo have scored goals in matches where adebayor and fabregas didn’t play well. I do agree that we need to win games that are second priority to us, that proves that we’re an all round team. I also hope that Milan’s midfield perform as they have been doing of late, poor.

I don’t like the pretension that the FA Cup doesn’t matter – I think it probably did a fair bit. I wouldn’t rate your chances of advancing in the Champions League, despite Milan’s poor form, they have Kaka and an experienced midfield that looks like its been designed to stop Fabregas. And I think it especially should have mattered to the level of player you had out for the Man Utd game – players like Lehmann, Bendtner, Gilberto should really have been playing for a place but it didn’t look like it to me. Feltcher, Carrick, Nani etc definitely played out of their skins like those Arsenal guys should have done. If I was an Arsenal fan, I would be very, very worried if, say, Fabregas and Adebayor found themselves on the treatment table at the end of the year.

As for being “by far most impressive” in the league, you have the same goal difference as United, failed to beat them at home, and are kept 5 points in front only by 2 erratic games by United against their city rivals.

Good luck mid week. I always like to see other English teams advance (might tire you lot out a bit more for the EPL as well!) and like even more the whinging look on Kaka’s face when he discovers, on losing, he can’t show the world his “I belong to Jesus” t-shirt.

Don’t get me wrong Sheps, this result is indeed an embarassing one. Four Nil, Wow. However, I’m saying that Arsenal’s priority is a little different. We are the team to beat in the league. We have been the most consistent and by far most impressive. In UCL we’ve also looked pretty damn good. The thing is, when it really matters we show up. When one player doesn’t have a good game, say Fabregas, someone like Bacary or Clichy might show up, that’s the measure of a good team.

Your players are paid to play football. Stop pretending that you don’t care you lost 4-0 (Four! Nil!!) or that your players, particularly Fabregas, shamed themselves by showing they didn’t care. It doesn’t matter if the game’s a friendly, for a player to give up against a big big rival like that on a football pitch is very, very poor.

Arsenal have some very talented players, but at times you lack the passion of the English game that only players like Rooney can provide. When did you ever see him give up on a game of football or look like he didn’t care?

I don’t care what happened today, just as long as we stay on course in the League and UCL. Milan isn’t looking so good in Serie A, let’s just hope their poor form continue. I also hope that Kaka and Clarence Seedorf have horrible games on Wednesday.
