Full Time: Arsenal 3-1 Fulham
By: Trent | April 29th, 2007The Gunners put an exclamation point on their spot in next year’s Champions League with a 3-1 win over fading Fulham. Goals from Julio Baptista, Emmanuel Adebayor and Gilberto Silva (pen) were enough to overcome a strike from Simon Davies (with an “Oops!” from newly-re-signed keeper Jens Lehmann, natch).
The Gunners are eleven points ahead of Bolton in fifth place. I bring that up mostly because it looks as if Big Sam is calling it quits.

How embarrassing that you were outsung by 2,000 plus Fulham fans. 60,000 people and you couldnt make a noise - wait till next week Chelsea will ‘do you’ again…..
I thought Chelsea had problems with plastics and JCL’s but my you lot put pur problems in the shade… and I did have to laugh how empty the seats became once your third goal went in…
COME ON CHELSEA!!!

Andy, I’ll let it slide since I know Chelsea just choked away their league title chances this weekend. It must be trying.
(Of course, I’ve had some time to get used to the idea of Arsenal not winning this year.)
Looking forward to the match!

chelsea can’t even fill stamford bridge, it’s pathetic — and I’ve never understood why a club with so much money can’t fix its own ground to make it look like a world class pitch — it’s totally decrepit. I’ve seen pitches in Brazil that look better.
