On Thierry’s Return
By: Trent | January 3rd, 2007Gunners fans are no doubt still basking in the crimson glow of yesterday’s performance against Charlton. Besides taking 9 points of 12 from the holidy season, the big news was of course the return of Captain Thierry Henry to the lineup.
The Frenchman looked fresh and fast, which makes one wonder if the recouperation from the sciatic nerve problem benefitted him from the rest alone. The boss agrees: “I’m convinced you will see a great Thierry Henry from now until May. He comes back hungry and fresh and we have a lot to go for.”
Besides Henry, the entire team looked pretty good against the 10-man Addicks. Van Persie in particular continued his fine form, netting two goals.
