Manchester United 4 - 0 Arsenal

By: Dan | Comments 14 Comments

Well, that was unpleasant. Very similar to the thrashing Tottenham gave to us in the Carling Cup, Manchester United’s win was painful, but honestly unimportant. With AC Milan next week, our priorities were obviously elsewhere. This year Arsenal has not been able to win games they don’t care about, and it was obvious that no […]

Five Points at the Top of the Table

By: Dan | Comments 6 Comments

After Manchester United tied Tottenham and lost the Manchester derby, Arsenal has cruised to the top of the league in style. Monday’s 2-0 win against Blackburn was not quite the best of Arsenal, but the squad also faced a massive list of injuries. The team managed to take advantage of Manchester United’s loss (based on […]

Can We Play Newcastle Every Week?

By: Dan | Comments 8 Comments

Two 3-0 wins over Newcastle in the span of four days as Arsenal moved forward in the FA Cup and kept pace with Manchester United (who won 2-0 over Portsmouth). Saturday’s game was sluggish in the first half, but Adebayor’s brace in the second half was fantastic and Nicky Butt’s own goal was icing on […]

Ineptitude Reigns

By: Trent | Comments 1 Comment

Arsenal have bowed out of the FA Cup after losing to Blackburn 0-1 at Ewood Park. Arsenal were denied two clear penalties prior to Benni McCarthy’s late, great goal.
The referee was, needless to say, Graham Poll. And everyone’s excited that he will be doing the ManYoo - ‘Pool match this weekend.
I […]

Arsenal to Host Man City Upon Advancement

By: Trent | Comments No Comments

The draw has been held for the FA Cup quarterfinals, and if Arsenal can defeat Blackburn in a fifth-round replay the Citizens will visit Ashburton Grove.
Speaking of Blackburn, how about that wily American Brad Friedel pulling out all the stops against Arsenal over the weekend? Seems like a long time since his display at […]

Full Time: Arsenal 0-0 Blackburn

By: Trent | Comments 1 Comment

Not much to add to that FA Cup 5th-round scoreline. Arsenal had more chances, Blackburn did some decent defending, and Aliadiere was obviously fouled in the box but the ref had gone missing. The Rovers will be pleased with the result.

Gallas Back Until Next Injury; Blackburn Await

By: Trent | Comments No Comments

Or so it would seem. Injuries have been a big part of Arsenal’s season thus far, but A-Dub is happy to have French defender William Gallas back for this weekend’s FA Cup match against Blackburn.
As for the match itself, the Gunners look to continue their good form against the Rovers. In Premiership play […]

Adebayor, Ljungberg & Adebayor

By: Trent | Comments 2 Comments

That’s not my law firm, it’s the Arsenal goal scorers from last night’s 3-1 win at Bolton. I’d put up all of Arsenal’s ridiculous misses, but I’m afraid we haven’t the bandwidth.
Enjoy!

That’s More Like It

What a crazy FA Cup fourth-round replay at the Reebok Stadium tonight! It was the second leg of the tie, and Arsenal–without Henry, Fabregas or Mad Jens–defeated Bolton 3-1 AET to advance.
Goals by Adebayor, Freddie, and Adebayor again sealed the deal, although that doesn’t begin to catalog all of the insanity, which included two […]

Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre

By: Trent | Comments No Comments

…is what Gooners will be looking for in their favor tomorrow as the Arsenal visit the Reebok stadium in a FA Cup fourth-round replay. Bolton has legitimately been the North London side’s bogey for a while now, and it will be a difficult order for the visitors.
Arsene Wenger will rest Thierry Henry and Jens […]
