Good day folks. Thanks to my current unemployed status, I’ll be following the match online (In Spanish) and bringing a blow by blow account of the action. Not sure how this will go, but feel free to leave thoughts in the comment section. <del datetime="00">Back soon with starting lineups.</del>

93 min: And that’s the final whistle. After a string of solid results, Arsenal manages only a point on the road against Kiev. Could have been worse, but for Gallas and his knack for being in the right place at the right time. Could have been much better as well. More thoughts to come from this. Thanks to the two or three people that followed this live/delayed by a couple minutes liveblog. It was my pleasure.

91 min: Bangoura takes his time coming off for Kravets. Apparently, he had a chance to sew things up but fluffed it while I was away. Nervy minutes left for the Gunners. A late winner wouldn’t be bad, right? Bogush took three minutes to take that goal kick, I swear.

89 min: Kiev right back down, forcing a save from Almunia shortly thereafter.

88 min: Equalizer. Gallas at the right place at the right time, as a cross from Walcottis bundled home by the skipper. Relief for Arsenal, and for me. Missed it thanks to the Internets and my slow computer.

84 min: More chances falling to Arsenal, with Adebayor heading to Bugosh. Vela comes on for RvP, last change of the match for Wenger.

82 min: Harsh challenge on Walcott and Vukojevic is booked. And we’re frozen again. Nice.

81 min: Adebayor with a nice move round the defender but his cross is chested down to Bugosh.

80 min: Bendtner with a nice ball for Theo but his first touch lets him down and the ball trickles over the touchline. Wenger isn’t happy with that.

79 min: Offsides, Adebayor. Nice going, genius.

78 min: Eboue on for Sagna. I feel meh about this substitution.

77 min: The boss looks fired up – and concerned when the camera jumps to his spot on the sideline. Also looks warm in that massive coat he’s got on. Doesn’t seem that cold there. Then again, how should I know?

75 min: Sloppy from the Gunners. Passes are finding white shirts as often as they are yellow ones. Gallas has to break up another counter attack, not before Bangoura threatens again.

74 min: Clichy does well to intervene to prevent a chance for Kiev. Well done. Arsenal haven’t shown much going forward in awhile.

73 min: Three shots in a row block by the Arsenal defense. A fourth one skied over by Bangoura. Where’s the defense gone to?

71 min: Bangoura booked for diving. Fair play, ref.

70 min: Bendtner on for Song. Not a bad day for the Cameroonian international. Perhaps he can play the Flamini role?

68 min: Corner won by Theo. Keeper knocks it out, another corner. Bendtner coming on? Nothing from the next corner.

67 min: Arsenal are now on the hunt for at least a draw. Nothing positive as of yet.

64 min: Uh-oh. Bad news as Gallas misplays a ball on his own half. He recovers, but from the ensuing play, Sagna fouls Vukojevic – or so the ref things. Penalty to Kiev that Bangoura cooly slots home. The place goes wild, and Arsenal are on their heels now.

Not as cool of a penalty as I first though. At least Man United aren’t winning. Yet. A draw isn’t looking that bad. That was a pretty harsh call on Sagna, as Vukojevic had a lot of his shirt as well. Bummer.

58 min: Another save from Bogush, this time from a Fabregas shot. Kiev came rumbling down on the counter but Gallas interceded. Good save from Bogush on the shot from Cesc, as it took a deflection causing a short hop. Shot of Bendtner warming up on the sideline.

57 min: First booking of the match I believe. Nesmachnly gets it for a harsh slide on Walcott, who is receiving quite a beating tonight.

56 min: Song has got to be close to a booking with another hacking foul. I still think he’s done well in that tough, defensive midfielder role.

54 min: This time RvP crosses in for Adebayor, forcing Bogush to punch it away with the Togonator closing in.

52 min: Van Persie is set up on the left wing by Walcott, but RvP opts for the wrong option: skying it over the bar. A cross would have worked much better that time.

51 min: Song and Sagna collide with each other while trying to dispossess a Kiev player. Not very clever.

49 min: Yikes. Kiev with good work down the left side, and after a bunch of step overs, Eremenko hits the post with Theo on the ground injured. A classy bunch, these Kievers. No subs were made, fyi.

48 min: Offside RvP. The announcer at the Kiev stadium keeps talking, and I have no idea why.

45 min: Back underway. I think Kiev made a substitution. My Russian isn’t all that good, so I’ll try and figure it out.

All these Heineken commercials make me want to grab a beer right now. I guess advertising works? Come onnnn second half.

HALFTIME:
We’ve reached the halfway point of the match in Kiev. Wenger’s charges walk off the field having had a few chances, but unable to find the net. It’s been a weird experience doing this blog, as I try and bring the play by play to you. Having no announcers doesn’t help, as I can’t tell what players (at least on Kiev) are doing what. Back to the match – Dynamo Kiev have threatened a bit, but haven’t really tested Almunia much. Van Persie and Adebayor have had chances, but neither have capitalized. Walcott has looked dangerous with the ball, while Cesc’s passing is world class as usual. Securing an away win today would be crucial – check back later for the second half.

-In the other match in our group, Porto leads Fenerbache 2-1 at the half.

I’m not one for stats much, but a quick look reveals a bit – 6 shots for Arsenal, 3 for Kiev, although none on goal. Kiev with a slight edge in possession, up 53%-47%. The scoreboard is all that matters though. 0-0.

44 min: I rescind that last post. Adebayor makes a mess of things, recovers, crosses to van Persie who finds an unmarked Cesc six yards out, but the Spaniard can only bounce a shot straight at the Kiev keeper.

43 min: Fabregas is so good. His impossible passes always seems to find their man, although Walcott’s cross is poor. Those two could prove to go a long way this season.

41 min: Close one. Sagna plays a lovely one two with Walcott, but Van Persie’s shot is wide, hitting side netting. Could have done better than that.

39 min: Adebayor with a shocking pass right to a Kiev player. Nothing comes from it though.

38 min: Van Persie gets a stern lecture from the ref after a hard foul. No card, and the resulting free kick is hit right to Almunia.

36 min: A Kiev player goes down in the box from a Sagna challenge. No call from the ref. Not sure about that, perhaps Sagna got away with one, although it wasn’t an easy call.

34 min: The midfield starts to knock the ball around, playing keep away from Kiev. No chances from it, however. Free kick won on the right side quick restart taken. Adebayor blocks Clichy’s shot.

29 min: No idea what has been happening, but Almunia is taking a goal kick. My computer is not liking me right now. Arsenal have been nothing to write about. Hence why I’m struggling.

26 min: Back up and running. Saw Almunia pointing around, a couple of Kiev corner kicks, and then, back live. And then not as van Persie plays Adebayor (maybe?) down the wing.

24 min: Kiev with another chance as the ball trickles in the center of the pitch but a shot is lashed way over Almunia’s head. Feed is down right now too. Bollocks. That’s what I get for using ESPN360.

21 min: Bangoura with another chance from a ways out. Nothing doing. The crowd’s chants of Ki-ev! Sort of sound like de-fense!

20 min: Song with a pretty reckless foul on Aliev. I lost connection for a second, Adebayor seems to have missed a clear shot at goal. Nothing from the free kick for Kiev.

18 min: Give Theo the ball more. The winger has another run, but he passes it off to Song, who knocks it to no one.

15 min: Kiev on the attack, as Bangoura tries it from wayyy out there. No chance as the ball trickles in to Almunia. Arsenal not looking all that great at the moment.

12 min: Alexandre Song decides to manhandle Bangoura. The ref doesn’t see the malice in it, and doesn’t take a liking to Bangoura lying on the ball. Arsenal with the restart.

11 min: My computer has decided to not respond well to the multi-tasking I’m doing at the moment. Missed a few minutes. Again, nothing to report. Sounds like a good crowd.

7 min: Kiev with more of the ball at the moment, winning a corner that is cleared away rather easily.

5 min: Cesc wins a free kick on the right side, perhaps 25 yards outside the box. We’ll see what van Persie (I think) does. Nothing. Bad service on that one, straight to a Kiev defender.

3 min: Walcott with a lovely ball in for van Persie who forces a save from the keeper. Corner hit straight to Bogush. The young Englishman bringing it still playing well.

0: Arsenal get things underway serenaded by jeers from the crowd. No announcers on the stream, so I won’t really be able to say much about Kiev.

Denilson appears to be out on the left wing with Walcott on the right. Song and Fabregas in the middle. Ade and RvP up top.

Seems like a pretty large and feisty crowd in Kiev as the UEFA anthem is played before kickoff. The stream is a bit behind, so I’ll be a tad late on what goes on. Arsenal looks good in the new Yellow away kits. Better than any neon colors that are seen nowadays.

Keep updating though. I’ll be here.

I think I’ll be up and running with the match – the stream is now on.

Starting Lineups courtesy of BBC Sport:

Dynamo Kiev: Bogush, Betao, Diakhate, Mykhalyk, Nesmachniy, Vukojevic, Yussuf, Yeremenko, Aliev, Ninkovic, Bangoura. Subs: Shovkovskiy, Ghioane, Morozyuk, Shatskikh, Kravets, Olexander Romanchuk, Asatiani.

Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Walcott, Fabregas, Song Billong, Denilson, Van Persie, Adebayor. Subs: Fabianski, Vela, Ramsey, Wilshere, Djourou, Bendtner, Eboue.

No real surprises here as the boss trudges out a pretty typical lineup. Perhaps an appearance from Wilshere late in the game?

I don’t have a feed up yet so perhaps this will be the shortest liveblog ever.
