Arsenal v. Manchester City LiveBlog!

Hello All,

Apologies for no preview for the match, but if you need any introduction to what this match means to us, look no further than the standings. It seems every match is like a must win these days, and this one is no exception. A win at the Middle Eastlands would put us back in 3rd in what could be a season long battle for the top 3. Not only could this win put us in 3rd, the massive additional boost of confidence could have many believing. With that said, I never said it would be easy. Beating City alone is a difficult task, defeating them at their home is even more difficult…it’s a modern day fortress. It looks to be that Nasri is out, but Aguero may make his first appearance since his season opening knee injuring. There is so much firepower on that damn team that our defenders will likely have to play absolutely perfect today for us to get the result we all want so badly. Although a loss wouldn’t be the end, it certainly will not help with another difficult match due next Saturday against Chelski.

Arsenal Lineup:
Starting: Mannone; Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs; Diaby, Arteta; Ramsey, Cazorla, Podolski; Gervinho.

Subs: Martinez, Djourou, Santos, Coquelin, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud.

Have to say, not what I expected with Ramsey being inserted today, not a fan of this by any means. Nice to see Kos back. Apparently Verm is out with illness so another match for the BFG. Hopefully he can keep up with the pace of the City attackers. Arteta is captain today.

Prediction: Arsenal 2 – City 2

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!

Good result. City dropped two points at home all last season, so we should be pretty happy really. Mertesacker was once again brilliant, and the same can be said for Koscielny. Gervinho didn't have the best of games, but he looks dangerous as always. The team is looking decent.

Thx for that stat. Impressive, must impressive (hey Perry now I got it right :)
I only saw the 1st 30 and thelast 20, but what I saw was a team that had talent and attitude, I agree with you, the team is looking decent.
I think we lost there 1-0 last season, so it is a progress.
Do you to whom they lost those pts last season?

It was a 3 all draw against Sunderland the week before they came to the Emirates.

I think if Giroud were able to score a couple of goals we could much more confidently give him a start, and then we will be flying.

I will re quote myself after reading tons of things this morning from our game, all those articles had in common the word "attitude"
