Adebayor to Miss Start of…Whatever That League is Called Now

By: Trent | August 4th, 2007

ade.jpgArsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has crocked his groin and the club are presuming that he will not be fit for the match against Fulham on August 12.

Sheyi picked up the injury during training in Austria, and has played very little since. He should be back to training by next week.

As for that Fulham match, it will be the Gunners’ opening stanza of the new English Premiership Barclays Premier League season. Evidently a single global moniker was desperately needed. Branding concerns and all that. Oh, and money. Lots of money.

Hey there, sandrahn. Whatever the provenance, it’s one of EA’s nicknames.
    See here for example
. He’s also called Mani and Manu of course.
