Why haven't I read anything about Arsenal being interested in Stephen Appiah? 27 years old, tons of experience and leadership, tough as they come and talented... He would be the absolute PERFECT signing for us IMO...

My good Gunner friend Jeff, for some reason the server designates me being from USA, but I reside in a suburb close to Toronto Canada, and there are a few of us here. As the matter of fact we'll be launching a fan club online soon.

ForeverZidane- Where's this stateside pub with Arsenal supporters. I'd like to have one of those to go to. It's all virtual pubs for me. The pubs around here don't show any football/soccer, and certainly not at 7:30 a.m.

Arsenal's chance of getting crowned in the Premiership is proportional to the number of goals the Gunners can score in. They played pretty last Saturday, and that's just that. I thought that after last season they'd get the message that playing pretty will not get you any trophy but apparently the squad is still pretty goal-phobic. Except for Nasri--he's a great, talented playmaker and I was happy for his dream debut.

I'll try to get my head out of pessimistic clouds, since United and Liverpool didn't play the best of season openers either. But I think that I would like to see Wilshere play in the senior squad, especially with the lack of midfielders Arsenal has right now. Despite being my age, he shows real maturity and talent surpassing his age!

I'm glad to see that someone shares my views of the Gunners after this one game how early it might be, but I don't see anything new. Even with the addition of Nasri, the need for a true striker looms larger than ever. Over passing the ball, and not able to put it in the back of the net is the main reason for losing in the CL last year. The back field's still very sloppy.
My fellow Arsenal fans at the pub criticized me for being so negative so early, but as the saying goes "show me the money". Same ol same ol and if it wasn't for Almunia the game would've been tied. This current line up will have a hell of a time competing with the top 3.
Adebayor missed chance after chance, time for a good solid striker Mr. Wenger.
