Arsenal v Fulham Preview & Game Thread
By: travis | February 28th, 2009A few quick thoughts this morning before the match. The first being how vital a win is today. This team has put up a solid unbeaten run, but needs three points. It will be no easy task as Fulham have gone from regulation strugglers last season to eighth in the league so far. Sure, the margin isn’t that much between them and the drop zone — 10 points — but you have to hand it to them for well this season. However, they had been dreadful away from Craven Cottege where they defeated Arsenal at the beginning of the year. Time for some revenge please?
Starting lineups have been posted and Bendtner has been shoved to the bench (where he belongs after two dreadful performances):
Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Arshavin, Denilson, Diaby, Nasri, Van Persie, Vela. Subs: Fabianski, Ramsey, Song Billong, Djourou, Bendtner, Eboue, Gibbs.
Fulham: Schwarzer, Baird, Hangeland, Hughes, Konchesky, Davies, Murphy, Etuhu, Dempsey, Johnson, Zamora. Subs: Zuberbuhler, Nevland, Gera, Kamara, Dacourt, Stoor, Kallio.
Arshavin is back in, hopefully Vela can perform better than last week, Diaby needs to stay healthy and play like he did against Roma. The defense needs to keep doing their job, but goals are a must today. Here’s to three points.

There is so much more to football than devoting all your energy to one team. It’s a beautiful game and there are so many other exciting matches you could watch instead. This team is unbelievably inept and lacking motivation and spirit currently. What ever happened to the honor of wearing the jersey representing your team passionately?
Two minutes left and you got Arsenal players casually walking up the field? WHAT THE F#@# is this crap? It’s Fulham for crying out loud not Barcelona!!!!!!!The only one who comes to play is R.V.P. and he’ll be outta here next season.Posted from
