Arsenal – Wolves Match Thread

Not a horrible match for us, but its so hard to watch them missing all of these chances. The amount of bad passes we made today will NOT be acceptable against Barca, they will shove them down our throats. That knock on van Persie's knee scared me a whole lot and I was relieved to see get up and play a few more minutes. Arshavin IS looking better, not great but at least he isn't guaranteed to give the ball away anymore. The next few days before Wednesday are going to be looooooooong.

Oh, and West Brom did an Arsenal- 3-0 against West Ham after 30 minutes, game ends 3-3 (in Roy Hodgson's first game in charge, no less.)

RVP showing what he will do against Barca, and also Arshavin looked good as well. Most importantly, we closed a match amidst pressure and we closed it well. Barca here we come!

Why did so many fans leave early from a game we were winning?

Despite his mistakes, I thought Arshavin had a really good game.

Remember how everyone said they were going down in 20th at the start of the season? Did not deserve to lose against United a few weeks ago, Holloway is a brilliant manager.

Wigan gets one against Liverpool. Amazingly, Liverpool, if they win, will only be 3 points back of Spurs and Chelsea (though with more games played.

Cesc really looks pissed at all this frugality in front of goal. We'd better tighten up at the back, and let the time run out. And with one eye at the Barca fixture, he should take off Robin.. I think he's going to carry a knock before the finally whistle. (hopefully not)

Should I be happy that we're creating a ton of chances, or upset that we're wasting a million of them?

Great, the half-time highlights on ESPN are our collapse against Newcastle. I'm not sure how many times I can watch those highlights.

I was in Jamaica, enjoying the beaches, etc, and checked the internet, saw we were 4-0 up, thought it was in the bag. Checked again a few minutes later, and it was 4-2. Headed off to the beach, thinking it would be so ridiculous if we had thrown that lead away, only to discover we in fact had when I checked a few days later. It was traumatizing; luckily I had Red Stripe to console me.

Or I could mention his huge miss 10ft from goal following a corner from RVP.

I thought he was lucky to even get that shot off, with tons of pressure from the defender.

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, I thought he was ahead of the defender with lone possession of the ball.

He never had possession, he just got a foot on it instinctively, I thought.

Seriously, though -- if you haven't seen the Rooney goal, track it down. It's the kind of goal, that, had someone scored it on Playstation, you'd get frustrated at the game's lack of realism.
