Peter: I totally agree. Even if Aston villa qualifies for C.L. , they wouldn't be outstanding. They would probably be like Athletico de Madrid or Villareal. They would show like two to three good matches before they have injury and then they would crumble.

Aston Villa's great fortune is all due because of their attacking pair getting all along. Young and the other one (his name reassembles a lot to Adebayor lol) are in osmosis. At the moment that their team's chemistry is broke, they have nothing left... They aren't as threatening as they seem.

Arsène has managed to create enviable team's chemistry after the departure of Henry. Rosicky and Eduardo got injured. But, we managed to hang up as the full of surprise Theo Walcott stepped up and the new faces came in (Ramsey, Wilshere, Vela). Now, our heart has stopped to pump (Fabregas's down) and we must cope it with the arrival of a new creative midfielder. (Arshevin I hope). The path ahead of Arsenal is rough and gloomy. but, now we've fell so low that we can only climb up the ladder. (I hope). Finally, I would like to see how Wenger will play Toure an Gallas at the same time. He said: "If I don't play both together, it's because I felt that we were short on air (...)" Well, playing Djourou wasn't a bad idea. (He's tall and 100 times superior to Senderrors)But, Toure is great and Gallas, even thought I don't appreciate him a lot, we need his experience and commitment on the field. So, Toure will have to become a defensive midfielder somehow...

To compare what Arsenal is capable of doing in the champions league to what Aston Villa might be capable of doing in the champions league is absurd, Arsenal will play with the kind of class and confidence that this Aston Villa team will not have next year, and will not achieve for some time. Then again, that sure does not mean that Arsenal cannot lose that 4th spot, as we all know is decided by domestic results not european bravado.

I agree, it is not normal for Arsenal (the history, the club, the style etc) to be winning games 1-0 at the last gasp. But, for Arsenal (the 08 09 debacle) winning a game should be a boost, i ve alrady underlined the week opposition we have coming, with everton being the highlight of january. Furthermore, we havent lost a game in 5 or 6? Lets focus on the positives. Ade and Van persie arent injured (knock on wood). Gallas will be back soon, he ll be missing games that honestly we shouldnt need our best defender to win (maybe everton, simply because no one can mark lescott and cahill in the air). WE MIGHT BE GETTING ARSHAVIN! Come on this might be an exciting end to the season, i hope arsene is telling our boys to just focus on the game at hend, not throwing some ridiculous rhetoric about winning the premiership...

Adimante, well said. I feel as if we, the fans, are being toyed with. We're obviously in dire need of some quality signings but yet Wegner and the board act as if we're not in fifth. My contention hopes died when we drew with Villa in december. Spend the damn money to get some real players in please!!!!! I'm so tired of this shit. I didn't see the game today and am glad I didn't, I would have been sick. Wegner seems to have lost reality with the world of the EPL. I understand that he's awaiting the maturation of players and rightly so, however, these players have to mature timely and not be forced to do so. I'm a Juve fan as well and admire the approach that Juve have taken this season by making the young players understudies to more seasoned players. In addition, when will our board realize that key players are injured? Villa has looked impressive this season, especailly against us and therefore are viable champions league candidates and even EPL contenders. We need the champions league money so let us just keep our fingers crossed that our leaders will make the right decisions.

Fellow Arsenal Fans in the US, it seems that several arsenal players (adebayor, sagna, clichy, silvestre, almunia..) are going to participate to a great charity game next june in NYC. Check this out:
Great video

Website is nice as well: www.allstarsforhope.org
Other players like henry Drogba, and C. Ronaldo will also be there apparently!

Well Peter, Bolton is a relegation team. It was normal for Arsenal to dominate the opposition. However, it wasn't normal at all to win with a late goal from Bendtner. Furthermore, it wasn't normal at all to win with a 1-0 margin. This shows Arsenal weakness when it comes to finish their impressive playing football. Even thought I support Arsenal, they have no chance at all to win EPL. Now, they must at all cost step up their game and pray that Aston Villa makes a false step because when I take a closer look to the competition, Aston Villa is aiming for a spot in Champions league at the expenses of Arsenal that will have to hang up on UEFA Cup (or the what so ever name they gave it now...) Arsen Wenger is deceiving his most devoted and beloved fans... The team has blamelessly crumble before Aston Villa which is a reality that I cannot still manage to acknowledge...

I d like to think Bendtner reads this, saw my comment about his lack of anything related to football, and scored goal, all for me. Three points is three points, less frustrating than the portsmouth game.
