Bolton preview: Let’s win again
By: travis | March 28th, 2008Off the Arsenal main page, the game preview starts off with this quote:
“Forget the title and Champions League for now, Arsène Wenger’s short-term target is simply to win again.”
In a nutshell, this is an easy way to sum up the implications of the season. After stuttering through their last five games, pencil me in desperate for a Gunners victory. The slump has highlighted the lack of depth the squad has, and the inability to get over some kind of mental block and score like they used to.
Bolton is the calm before the storm. The storm being a match against Man U (another title-deciding game) and three matches against Liverpool that includes the Champions League.
Injuries
The latest injury I mentioned in a post yesterday with Right back Bacary Sagna out. Expect Eboue to slot in to play on the right with Theo taking his spot in midfield. Other than that, the squad is missing Tomas Rosicky and Eduardo (of course). Bolton will be without skipper Kevin Nolan because of yellow card accumulation, as well as Jussi Jaaskaleinan out because of injury.
Prediction
Please win. Thanks. Bolton 1-3 Arsenal
