Buffon to Arsenal?

Every time I think of Gianluigi Buffon, I lament the fact that he has but one “o” in his surname. But that’s my problem, not his. Anyway, hanging out in Serie B may not be as much fun as Buffon expected. Buffon, relegated Juventus’ no. 1 and World Cup champion, is rumoured to be a possible summer target for Arsene Wenger.
This may be news to Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann, but Buffon is nine years younger that the German. Buffon also had a magnificent Wolrd Cup–if memory serves, he didn’t give up a goal from the normal run of play, excepting an own goal against the Americans. Buffon would be a great pick up.
Of course, if Juventus win promotion back to Serie A, this may all be moot. Italian superstars have tended to stay at home (excepting amidst cascading cheating scandals. ahem.).
