Dein to Chair G14

Arsenal vicechairman David Dein has been given the nod to chair the G14 for the upcoming year. The G14, you may recall, is a consortium of the more-or-less 14 most powerful football clubs in Europe.
And it’s as true as it ever was: nobody looks after the rich and powerful–who get that way in a vacuum of course–so sometimes the rich and powerful have to look out for themselves.
But then again…it’s often difficult to root for UEFA or FIFA, so I guess I’ll mumble quietly to myself until the next match starts.
