Fulltime: Arsenal 3-0 Tottenham Hotspur

By: Trent | December 2nd, 2006

gilberto.jpgAlrighty. Sometimes, when thigs are going poorly, and you’re slowly drifting down the table, and your star striker is injured for your main derby…all you need is Spurs to stumble along and make everything right, even if only for a few days.

The first North London derby at the Emirates Stadium featured a good effort from the Gunners, coupled with a rubbish showing from Spurs. Two penalties from Gilberto Silva and a strike from Adebayor were more than enough to get the three points.

No dice, Ledley!

Argh. Not to take anything away from the Gunners, they played very well, but Adebayor was offside and the penalties were debatable.

Adebayor was not offside — it was very close, he marginally ONside. The first penalty was not valid, imo. The second penalty WAS valid. Anyway, the team that played the better football WON for a change!!

Ade was onside and both PK’s were legit!

I was wondering how many more yellows the Spuds were going to get!
