Fulltime: Arsenal 3-1 Hamburg

By: Trent | November 21st, 2006

Whew! That was a close one. The score might indicate otherwise, but after a 4th-minute van der Vaart goal put the visitors up 0-1, Arsenal had to rely on strikes in the 52nd (van Persie), 83rd (Eboue) and 88th (Baptista) minutes to put this one on ice.

But all is not joy and ice cream cones: Thierry Henry will miss the all-important match against Porto by virtue of picking up his third yellow card of the round. They will only need a draw to advance, but the match will be in Portugal.
