Gallas Pulls a Groin, Jens Pulls a Boner

By: Trent | August 20th, 2007

jens-saves-the-day.jpgWilliam Gallas celebrated his new captaincy by pulling his groin at Ewood Park this weekend. For his troubles, the Frenchman will be out for 21 days.

Noted faith healer and physio Arsene Wenger was sure of the diagnosis immediately: “He has done his groin, I knew it straight away. He will be out for three weeks.”

And what of poor Jens Lehmann? His streak of gaffes has reached two matches, and we’re only, um, two matches in. I’d post a video, but the copyright Nazis defenders of intellectual property have removed them from YouTube.

And frankly, maybe decency demands that the clip be kept from public viewing.

But know that Cesc sez the club is standing by their man.

Regardless of his faults, he still is a very good goalkeeper. Not the best by any measure, but he has fantastic ability overall. There were possibly many factors that hindered his games in Arsenals last two outings. The main thing is that he has full support from his team mates. If he blunders again though he should be replaced without a doubt, but it all comes down to winning games in the end. If Arsenal had lost it may have been bench warming for the next couple of matches.
