Gunners Host Pompey
By: Trent | December 16th, 2006
Today Arsenal welcome sorta-high-flying Portsmouth to the Emirates Stadium. Pompey, which sit just one point behind Arsenal in the table, have not been stellar away from home, but then Arsenal haven’t been gangbusters at Ashburton Grove.
The home team is still suffering several injuries, with Henry, Rosicky and others all out.
Portsmouth will be bringing several former Arsenal figures with them to the ground today. Kanu and good ol’ Sol Campbell have helped Pompey to be one of the surprises of the Prem season. On the sidelines, Gunner legend Tony Adams will be fulfilling his duties as an asistant manager.
As for predictions…let’s just hope that Arsenal can score first. When that happens, things seem to go well at home (brilliant analysis, I know). Let’s make it, 2-1 for the Gunners.
