Henry the Greatest Ever?
By: Trent | October 5th, 2006Greatest foreign player ever in the English Premiership, that is? That’s the result of a recent poll conducted by Sky Sports. Not too surprisingly, ex-Red Devil Eric Cantona came in second.
Henry was a stud at Juventus when he was transfered to North London for £10.5m in 1999. Still, it was difficult to predict that the lithe Frenchman would net 217 goals and counting for Arsenal.
Oddly, Diego Forlan received no votes.

I would quibble with your characterization of Henry as a “stud” coming from Juve. Go back and look at Francer 98 or Juve 99. Henry was all winger, all speed and that was about it. He looked like a giant Gazelle flying aroud out there without a clue.
Arsene turned him into a striker, told the young lad he could be the greatest ever and POOF! we get Henry. But he as the most unpolished stud in history and we only paid that much cause Arsene KNOWS…Arsene always KNOWS…

I think so. The guy is not only a good player but he has class and very modest which a lot of foreign players in the Premiership don’t have.
