“In the Dark”
By: Trent | April 12th, 2007
That’s how Arsenal’s board of directors feel in relation to American businessman Stan Kroenke’s recent acquisition of 9.9% of the club. As someone whose default status is in the dark, I can empathize. But no one sems to know Kroenke’s long-term intentions with the Arsenal.
Said Charman Peter Hill-Wood:
“We are in the dark and I certainly have no idea of what his intentions are. It was no secret that ITV were looking to sell their stake but you would have thought that they [KSE] would have contacted us before they bought it. But they didn’t and that’s their business. So I am none the wiser.”
Whether or not the American–pictured above–swoops in for the rest of the club or not, the board will have to come up with some money to spend in the offseason. Even though Arsene Wenger has suggested that he doesn’t need any big signings in the offseason, it’s clear that some advancements will be needed if Liverpool, ManYoo and Chelsea continue at their current pace.
Finally, here’s an interesting look at the “Arsenal Revolution”: is it over? Is a new one needed?
Also–nice cookie duster, Stan.

i think a lot of people forget that just three months ago, arsenal were being hailed as the team of the future. now, people say we’re shite (not an assessment i wholly disagree with).
whatever happened to decent perspective?
