Ineptitude Reigns

The referee was, needless to say, Graham Poll. And everyone’s excited that he will be doing the ManYoo - ‘Pool match this weekend.

I’ve pretty much had it. Right now I feel like just giving up on the game because it’s a complete farce, a joke. Wenger’s getting a lot of stick right now for his comments on the FA’s decisions in the Carling Cup fracas but he’s absolutely correct. I have no confidence in the FA, and I’ve lost all trust in English referees/linesmen. They have zero integrity. Drogba and Essien are clearly seen punching Denilson and Cesc yet they get no punishment. Adebayor is punished for “acting aggressively” while Lampard gets away with his aggressive intervention in which he pushed the ref aside to get to Toure. It was Lampard who escalated the incident because the ref had gone over to calm down the Mikel-Toure confrontation. Just unbelievably blatant double standards and hypocrisy. Constant genuine penalties not given. Essien in the CC final deliberately put his studs up a couple of times, hurting Denilson, yet Webb didn’t book him. Denilson got booked for a foul against Essien tho. Seems like this season has been worse than others on these ref decisions.
