Is Lehmann’s Successor a Given?

Shay Given, that is. Rumour has Arsene Wenger looking toward the current Newcastle United ‘keeper as a possible replacement for Jens Lehmann should the German star decline a new deal to stay at the Emirates.

Who knows if Lehamnn will skeedattle after the season–he’s certainly had offers from decent clubs in both Spain and Germany. With an Arsenal policy that generally only gives one-year contracts to old fogies over thirty, he may find that his best move is back to the continent.
