Latest rumors

By: travis | June 4th, 2008

As Euro 2008 approaches, the latest rumors, including Wenger to PSG have subsided a bit. The football press has decided to focus more on the impending tournament than fueling speculation of who is going where. Aside from Hleb’s supposed ‘impending’ departure to Barcelona - the source is an unnamed ‘middle man’ - the newest rumor relates to the new kit for 2008/09. This picture is all over different Arsenal and football blogs, so I thought, why not chuck it up here as well?

Nothing spectacular. Just a way of maintaining a steady stream of cash for both Arsenal and Nike.

In other random news:

  1. Jens Lehmann, who agreed to a move to Stuttgart (good luck), has complained about the balls that will be used for Euro 2008.
  2. Mexican striker Carlos Vela, who now has a work permit and will look join the first team next season, started for Mexico in a friendly against Argentina. Mexico lost 4-1.
  3. Robin Van Persie has admitted he isn’t able to go 90 minutes yet. That can’t help the Netherlands already slim hopes of advancing from Group C.

With Euro 2008 starting up this weekend, I’ll be copying the Chelsea blog and keeping tabs on the Arsenal players involved right here.

Not too crazy about the new jerseys. I’ll miss the white sleeves.

both this and the england away remind my of one word: clipart. The jerseys are steadily getting worse and worser. exept for Germany, gotta like theirs.

Suppose one wanted to get in contact with arsenal or Arsene Wenger, what would be the possible way to do so? there are many fans that could help in decision making and would love their voice to be heard. Some say that the voice of the peopl is the voice of God. The fans have many ideas. One idea i have is 5-3-2
    …………….Gallas
    ……….toure- - -Song
    Sagna…………………… Clichy

    ……walcot–fabregas–diaby

    ……VanPersie-Adebayor

No defencive Midfielder in this. Could it be effective??

i have a big comment on the euro 2008 tournament .my comment is about the players of france squad in the tournament . and i want to talk something about the performance of those playrs.i think france are one of the favourites to win the trophy.but in modern foot ball one team should contain atleast 10 young players.but the france national team are not aware of that thing .i think raymond domenech and wenger look alike in so many ways ecxept in giving a chance to young players.i suggest that domenech should make a late call to the remainig young and efective players like flamini and hatem ben arfa of lyon.i have something to say about the formation too.i want him to make a little change in the diffense .players like sagna and clichy would be efficient to the team .so at last my hope is in the young zidane, samir nasri.i am sure if he gets to be on the best eleven of that team he is the best!
