Most Players Either Coming, Going, Not Coming or Not Going
By: Trent | February 12th, 2007Or all of the above, depending on the day of the week. Some brief updates:
Julio Baptista seems to be finally settling in at Arsenal, and is reluctant to leave Ashburton Grove for Real Madrid. The Brazilian Beast is on loan from the Bernabeu for the year, but unless he can see first team action in Madrid, North London will suit him just fine.
Arsenal may be vying with Manchester United for the services of striker Raffaele Palladino, who currently plys his trade in Italy. Juventus–a plucky Serie B side–is where the youngster wants to make his mark, so a move to Ingerland may not be in the cards.
You will recall that Thierry Henry was slated for Barcelona last summer before signing a new contract with Arsenal through 2010. Current Barca player Samuel Eto’o says oh by the way he himself spurned the Gunners in 2004 in order to leave Real Mallorca for the Camp Nou.
But never mind that new Henry contract, says AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi, who wants to land the French striker–should Ronaldinho not jump to the San Siro.
UPDATE: Also, Arsene Wenger may be looking to replace Jens Lehmann at the summer with Liverpool and England U-1 ‘keeper Scott Carson, who is currently on loan at The Valley.
