Slow Times

By: travis | June 3rd, 2008

With Euro 2008 lurking around the corner, there isn’t much to report. Nasri isn’t coming. Yet. I can imagine two scenarios – the first, he’s waiting til after Euro in case he plays out of his mind and demands more wages. The second, he knows a deal with Arsenal is as good as done and isn’t going to leave the French camp to sign in England when he knows that things are already taken acre of. I’m hoping for the second option, seeing as a great tournament may drive up his price. And who knows, that first scenario is still a possibility. It’ll be nice when this whole soap opera is finished. Because the speculation is killing me. Well, not really.

Don’t forget to fill out your Euro 2008 bracket if you haven’t already.

To discuss option 1 for a minute… what if he goes into the Euro tourney with no contract, and then has a major injury? I think I’d rather take a “bird in the hand” if possible, if there really is a deal in place.
