Something Special, It Is

So here we sit, heading full on into Autumn, with the Gunners atop the League and on a nine-match winning streak. Although that equals the record set by the “Invincibles” of 2003-2004, it seems a wee bit silly to start comparisons with that legendary squad.
Robin van Persie, who scored on Tuesday to ensure Arsenal’s 1-0 Champions League win against Steaua Bucharest, is, let us say, an unusually confident fellow in most situations. And true to form, the Dutchman says he saw the Gunners’ fast start coming from a mile away.
RvP: “At the start of the season I said we will surprise – and everyone was laughing. Now 12 games into the season, everyone says, ‘Ooh, look at Arsenal, they are a good team’. This I knew before and my mind has not changed.”
Not sure what my favorite part is here. I’d like to think that he employed some ridiculous tone or pitch change in his voice when he said, “Ooh, look at Arsenal”. On the other hand, I’d hate to give short shrift to the Yoda syntax used in that last sentence.
