Start Theo Walcott
By: travis | April 15th, 2008
Another trophyless season. Far from the outcome any fan likes to see, but considering the age of the squad, it could have been much worse. Anyways, the point of this post is to plead with Arsene Wenger to give Theo a starting role in these last four games. What would the point of sitting him on the bench be, when he can get action in four games in the EPL? I guess one is against Derby, who hardly counts as a top-flight squad. His confidence has to be at least elevate after that run against Liverpool. I hope he watches himself on youtube. I certainly would, if I was anywhere near capable of doing something like that against a team like Liverpool. Please, please Wenger. No 20 minute cameos. Time to give the kid a chance to shine.
The boss insists that trophies will come, and surprisingly also admits the title is now out of reach. Tell us something we don’t know.

hmm whats the median and average age of the arsenal squad, something like 25. Not that young really. Walcott still has uncertain stamina and sometimes is ineffectual in the game with his inability to impose himself down the wings a problem. At the moment he is better as a super sub then a first team regular.

if not for Arsenals sake, for Englands sake, start Walcott! Wenger has nothing to lose @ this point and god knows he has looked just as good (and at some points better) than Rooney this season ..
