Original Arsenal Pub Comes a-Tumblin’ Down
By: Trent | July 22nd, 2007
The London pub where Arsenal were born some 120 years ago has been torn down in the face of Ol’ Man Progress. A new light rail expansion is headed right through its old doors.
It was Christmas Day 1886 when 15 gentlemen gathered at The Pullman and formed the Royal Arsenal footballing club. It is presumed that the very next day all 15 complained about not having Boxing Day off.
In other news…takeover talk continues apace, not just regarding Stan “the ‘Stache” Kroencke, but now also Bernie Ecclestone. For his part, the club’s Managing Director sez Arsenal won’t be sold, and anyway, it would be a bad idea if it were.
Finally, we all know that international man of sexy mystery Freddie Ljungberg may be leaving the club; says here his destination could be West Ham.

dude, no offense but of the big four blogs this one is the weakest. you dont post exhibition scores, highlights, anything and you barely cover the transfer season. all of last weeks updates had to do with the copa and the only thing that has to do with arsenal is gilberto. please, try a little harder as i love arsenal but not this blog.

david, that trent doesn’t cover the transfer window so much is a plus in his favor.
