Thierry Henry Does Not Suffer Spurs Gladly
By: Trent | April 30th, 2007
Although, really–can you blame him?
Tucked into Sunday’s programme for the Fulham match was injured captain Thierry Henry’s Ode to Spurs, lovingly crafted and mostly spot on. It’s clear that his time in North London has well-inculcated the Frenchman to the general Gunner attitude toward Tottemham Hotspur.
“What makes me laugh is the way Tottenham always celebrate whenever they get a draw against us. I would like to remind them that once again they have not made the Champions League. So I was amazed to see their reaction at the full-time whistle. I had to look twice at the score on the TV because I thought they had won it the way they were celebrating.
“When I celebrated my equaliser against them at home last season I did so because the goal had a meaning. It turned out to be an important goal in the race for fourth place. I wasn’t going to celebrate just because we drew against Tottenham. It was the same when we won the league there in 2004. They equalised to make it 2-2 that day and when I saw Taricco celebrate so much that he injured himself, I said to him ‘you do realise we only needed a point and now we are celebrating the title on your ground.”
Say what you really think, Thierry! You know, Henry and Spurs fans usually get on so well.
Next thing you know, Emmanuel Adebayor will be asking Arsenal fans not to give Ashley Cole any stick. Whoops.

Dude, TH14 is the man. No wonder Arsenal fans want to build a shrine to him.

I don’t care who’s pissed off at his comments, go Henry! I read and hear so much vitriolic meanspirited bullsh*t from Spurs fans about Arsenal — they STILL call Wenger a pedophile and rapist to this day — Wenger has to deal with Spurs fans shouting those vile insults to him thoughout every match with Spurs (and at lots of other grounds too, esp. the Chavs and Manu). They’re classless fools. And Cashley deserves all the grief he gets, and then some. It was HIS idea to sneak off and meet with the Chavs in a secret meeting and then lie to the club and the fans that he did no such thing, and then dared to attack the club for their justified anger at such a low class, inexcusable breach of trust. He’s a lowlife scumbag and deserves no break from gooners. If Wenger were a different type of manager, he’d have rightly demanded that Chelski be brought up on tapping up charges — because that’s exactly what they did. Scumbags.
