Walcott Signs Long Term Deal

By: Martin | May 8th, 2009

The club announced it today. There had been some vague rumors flying around that he wanted to leave the club, but I think this puts those to rest. This is very obviously great news for the club, and any commentary would just be superfluous.

Suffice it to say that Theo’s pace and aggression make him very dangerous, and he’s showing signs of developing his passing/crossing and finishing abilities, as well, which would make him absolutely lethal. And, best of all, he just turned 20. If he’s got the dedication to improve his game, I really think he can be a world-class player within a couple of years, and will hopefully win bundles of trophies in an Arsenal shirt.

Nothing like a little good news ahead of the weekend, eh?
