Well That Wasn’t Pleasant

I’m still recovering from that. Tip of the cap to the coach and players of Hull City - they played an outstanding game, whereas the high paid players of Arsenal looked liked they didn’t care Geovanni’s goal was sublime, but he was given too much time and too much space. William Gallas is once again facing a hail of criticism for his shoddy defending and leadership. Now he is trying to warn the rest of his mates about complacency - but perhaps he should worry about man marking on set pieces. I can name just a few players on our side who appeared motivated - like they didn’t think we were just going to walk all over Hull City. Paul Brown, needs to be lauded with praise, as he kept his side organized and motivated. The same could not be said about the Arsenal players on the pitch. It’s important to point out how well Hull played, and how much they deserved the honors.
This is hardly the end of the world. It’s shocking to see Arsenal lose at the Emirates to any side outside of the big four. And it lives the boss quite angry - so angry that he is going to wield an axe and cut off the players that have left him fuming. Porto is this week, and it’s a big game if we want to make any sort of progress in the Champions League.
It’s terrible to drop points, but no time for panic. The season is young, and they’ll be plenty of opportunities to correct these mistakes. The funny thing is, what a difference one game makes. All the optimism and cheer of the Carling Cup youngsters is long gone. Time to face the music, Arsenal.
