Wigan Out
By: Trent | December 13th, 2006
The Gunners visit the JJB Stadium this evening to face eleventh-place Wigan. The Latics will be without injured players Arjan de Zeeuw, Gary Teale, Antonio Valencia, Steve McMillan, Svetoslav Todorov and Ryan Taylor. Keeper Chris Kirkland will appear for Wigan despite recent head injury worries.
For Arsenal, the usual suspects of Thierry Henry, Tomas Rosicky, William Gallas, Abou Diaby and Lauren are all still sidelined.
The good news is that Arsenal defensice ace Kolo Toure returns from suspension.
Wigan boss Paul Jewell thinks they can nick a point from the Gunners, but he concedes the North London squad “are like a wounded animal at the moment.” What would we all do without Paul Jewell?
