Young Guns Try to Best Spurs
By: Trent | January 24th, 2007Today’s Carling Cup clash with Spurs will afford Arsenal another chance to see if their youngsters can keep advancing. So far the kids have beaten Everton 1-0 and Liverpool 6-3, and the bettors look for a repeat performance against Tottenham and an evntual spot in the Cup finals.
Not that anything extra is needed in this North London derby…but a ticket brouhaha and a gathering controversy over Southampton’s Gareth Bale serve as a background for today’s match.
Assuming neither side fields an “A” squad, it’s hard to predict winner. But if both sides do just that, it’s difficult to pick against the Gunners.
