Long and drawn out
By: travis | June 20th, 2008The whole Samir Nasri business could be coming to an end. Finally. He’s set to head to London for a physical, sign a contract, and then buzz off for a holiday. Can’t blame him. He’s been a long season, having played with Marseille and then playing – albeit very little – at Euro 2008. That stunt that Domenech pulled (subbing him in than out) pissed me off. I will be nice to have this story over and done with.
Seems like a day can’t go by without Adebayor being linked somewhere. And according to the Italian press, he wants out. Milan, who have just come out to say he is too expensive, have said that it’s Ade or no one (at least in terms of strikers), go in a corner, and sulk. As much as I’d like to ignore these rumors, their persistence makes me think that something may be up, and that Adebayor may really be on his way out. Whatever the case is, it makes me a bit nervous. Losing him would mean our top two strikers would both be coming off long injury stints.
More transfer news out of Italy – there is interested in Gael Clichy from Juventus and Roma. Roma having just signed John Arne Riise (the own goal specialist) and it would make little sense to sign another left back. As usual, the rumors never die. When it comes to media, they never fail in coming up with a story, no matter how inane and moronic the deal would be.

Rumors are just that, they are rumors. These things will never come to fruition. Ade won’t leave because he has to much of a good thing going on at Arsenal, and Clichy won’t leave because he signed a deal he won’t go back on after everything Wenger has done for him.

Sell Adebayor now! i really like him, but most strikers would score 24 league goals with the service arsenal gives. lets buy benzema or gomez (he will be good regardless of euro 2008)
