Wenger: Cesc Fabregas Not Heading to Spain
By: Trent | May 29th, 2007
Well. It’s awfully quiet around here these days. The dull silence around English football this time of year (excepting in Derby County, of course–good luck to the Rams next season) is boring if predictable. And all the transfer rumours are still just that.
To allay some Gunners fans’ fears, Arsene Wenger says that midfield sensation Cesc Fabregas is not leaving Arsenal this summer. Sez A-Dub: “Cesc is going to spend the next year with Arsenal.”
There you have it, for what it’s worth. While I would normally lament the fact that Wenger is being fairly noncommittal on Cesc’s long-term future in North London, I think that one day the 20-year-old will leave for Spain no matter what. So every year with the Arsenal is a bonus.
In other transfer news, Mathieu Flamini, who is in fact most likely leaving Arsenal, says he’d like to move along in hopes of getting a little more action. On the pitch.

I know this is kinda unrelated to the article, but if Arsenal were smart, with ManU signing Nani and Anderson, they would try to swoop Frank Ribery. At this stage with Henry not playing down speculations of a possible leave to Barca, Arsenal needs someone like Ribery.
