Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes.

It is the silly season, and things are, well, silly. And circular. And going back on themselves and then contradicting and just generally being confusing. I suppose everyone gets bored when there’s no football.

It\'s silly season, and Alex is laughing.First up, the continuing saga of Alexander Hleb. I like Alex. I like the goofy faces he makes while running (seriously, he looks like a movie monster), I like the poorly-translated English on his old website, I like the way he pulls ridiculous fake-gangster poses in every picture. I also like his skillful footwork and creativity. Priorities. Do we need to sign Cesc more buddies?

But Alex Hleb wants to leave, and it’s possibly so ridiculous that I can’t even be angry at how blatant it is. He/his agent are just so damn inept at being subtle. First, there was the ice cream- the statement that he wasn’t meeting with Inter Milan while we were playing at the San Siro, he was just going for some ice cream. (Granted, gelato is awesome.) Then, his agent said that he was thinking about leaving because London was just too busy for him. Which is why he wants to move to the hamlets of Milan, Madrid, or Barcelona.

But it seems to be coming to an end. Said inept and un-subtle agent announced that Alex is going. I’m kind of over it at this point. He’s a fantastic player, but he can be replaced. Maybe he can be replaced with an Alex Hleb-type that can score goals. My only worry is that all of Cesc Fabregas’ friends now seem to be leaving- first Flamini, now Hleb, and in news that some Arsenal fans will rejoice in, there’s rumors about Senderos as well. All players that he talks about as his close friends- while he’s professional enough to not matter, it may come to bite us later.

Could it be?But a replacement may be on the way. Or not. Or maybe. Or yes. I can’t keep up. Nor do I like really talking about transfers when they’re written about as almost certain- I do have a complex system of jinxes to keep up. But he’s allegedly (according to blogs, so take that as you will) having a medical, and will allegedly sign soon. Allegedly. His agent says he’s in no hurry, but agents are ridiculous.

Just remember that ice cream.

Hleb can go to hell if thats where he chooses to be ….I am sure he can be replaced and as for Nasri I think it is almost official now that Frank Ribery has said something about it all but my concern is why didn’t Ribery join us if according to his comments we are a great club

any football lover who will like to be a part of a discussion forum and argue out any football related issues should join soccerfanbase.com today… I hope I am not spamming this site..but we be glad if the owner of this blog will be interested in a links exchange

If the Hleb rumors about him coming to us are true, we’ll take him. We don’t need him to score goals, just do what he does, and slot passes to the guys who can. He’d be a fine Deco replacement who doesn’t pick up silly yellows, or has sulks.
