Arsene Wenger’s Worst Season Ever

By: Trent | May 16th, 2007

arsene-wenger-12-04-2006.jpgSo says the man himself. No silverware for the Gunners in 2006-2007, it’s true. Concedes the boss:

“If you analyse the season I would say yes it has been my worst. We are 22 points behind the leader so I cannot say I did everything perfectly. I have to stand up and say I am responsible for the fact that we didn’t fight for the championship.”

Of course, he’s not entirely to blame for the club’s play, or for the injuries, etc., etc. And when you’ve already won three Premership titles and four FA Cups in eleven years, you can feel free to take the public blame as it comes.

On the other hand, the team did qualify for the Champions League for 2007-2008, which is comforting, and frankly, the worst the Arsenal should be expected to do these days given the incredible imbalance of the Premiership.

So what say you–a failed season?

Hey Andy, Chelsea fan are you? Resting on your Carling cup trophy are we? And just exactly how many LONG years has Cheslea gone without a trophy before Mourinho? It’s been what, 3 or 4 seasons since Manu won the league title? I love these losers who come over to the blog of a club they hate and trash it. Have nothing else better to do with your little life, do we?

Sandrahan - Read my blog on this wonderful site and you will discover that I am not a ‘pothunter’ like you suggest. In fact even Bob will verify that I am a ‘TRUE BLUE.’ 41 YEARS to be precise - and I live in the UK despite the little USA flag (which is down to AOL) and I WAS THERE WHEN WE WERE SHIT………

so.. now can I expect a ‘Whatever??’

I am off to the Cup Final on Saturday.. what are you doing?? And come to think of it… what about Willie G - what is he gonna do? (who now wants Arsenal to play like Chelsea) LOL LOL LOL

    KTBFFH!!!!

Yo Andy - All us gooners are here and you are still s**t, nice cup final yawn yawn, did anyone even manage to see it through to the end?
Hey at least we didn’t waste 35 million on a dud lol lol lol
Just remember ‘the futures bright - the futures red and white’ not ‘blue and sh*te’
PS Man City wear blue also, they had a good run years ago but red seems the colour in every city
