Prof. Wenger Stays Put
By: Trent | September 6th, 2007
As expected, Arsene Wenger has signed a new contract to stay at Arsenal through the 2010-2011 season. How he will survive on only £4 million per year is beyond me. At least we know he won’t waste any of it buying strikers. Ahem.
Wenger has said that he feels a responsibility to the current squad, as he has built a very young team with which he feels an allegiance. I think the gaffer really believes in the young unit that’s just now getting its sea legs.
Hopefully the length of this contract can inspire players like Cesc to stay in London as long as possible.
