Wenger Gushes About Sir Alex
By: Trent | November 5th, 2006
It’s not a stretch to say that the past ten years have not always been roses and lollipops between Arsene Wenger and Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. But as the red-nosed boss’s 20 year anniversary in Manchester approaches, A-Dub takes time to sing his adversary’s praises.
Said the Frenchman:
It is the biggest achievement. Of course that has to be the target for every other manager in the league, to do better than he has done. Who does not want to be the best? However, it cannot be as easy if you are the manager of Coventry to do better than he is doing at Manchester United. Altogether nobody has done better. It is remarkable to have such a consistent motivation at that level - and deal with the stress and all the other ingredients in the game.
Of course, note that he did get in the Well, sure, but he’s doing it at Manchester United, not Yeovil Town dig. Old habits die hard.
