Wenger: Platini Won’t Deliver

Brand-spankin’-new UEFA president Michel Platini has promised to rejigger the Champions League playoff system which would have the effect of reducing certain countries number of automatic entrants. While Wenger says he enjoys Plaitini as a person, he also says that the votes to institute such a change will be quite hard to come by.

Methinks, just maybe, money will speak louder than Platini’s plan. Although, yes, it would be nice for the smaller associations, why would, say, the FA want to give up all of that guaranteed money and publicity?
